I come from humble beginnings and I’m proud of it. It’s instilled in me many of my values and certainly my work ethic.

Jan grew up on a cattle station southeast of Hughenden and attended boarding school in Charters Towers from Year 8 to Year 12. She then lived, worked & studied in beautiful Townsville. After graduating from university, Jan worked in public accounting in Townsville before living in London for 3 years. She travelled all over the UK, Europe and Northern Africa with her trusty backpack while working for some household names. Jan lived in Brisbane for a further 2 years before the pull of family, Townsville & the broader region had her back in 2005. She loves Townsville and can see tremendous growth and potential in the entire region.
Jan’s Experience as a Financial and Business Coach
Over the past 20+ years Jan worked in a variety of businesses supporting their financial needs. Each business, no matter how small or large, has required the same thing – clear and concise financial data in order to make decisions to support the strategic direction of their business. In some cases, the small businesses are more fortunate than the large as they have autonomy whereas the large businesses have large overheads and are confined in their scope of influence.
Throughout Jan’s years in the operational finance & project management space she has been building financial plans and budgets, forecasting issues sometimes far before it impacts the business profit. Identifying issues is one thing but providing financial coaching to the extended team has often been a key factor in enabling change.
This combination of skills, background & values has time and time again added great value to the bottom-line of all those she supports.
